Drupal Layout Builder often enters a program as an authoring convenience. Teams want faster page assembly, fewer developer dependencies for standard marketing needs, and more control in the hands of editors. Those goals are reasonable.

The architectural risk appears later.

When Layout Builder is introduced without clear limits, page composition can become its own unofficial content model. Sections multiply, one-off combinations become normalized, and frontend templates start carrying assumptions that were never formally designed.
